FPC is Expanding!

Important Message - Kairos and First Presbyterian both stress that financial support for our current ministries must not suffer in this campaign. Worship must remain strong. Ministry to our adults, middle and high school youth and children must continue to grow and flourish. Mission outreach and service to others must continue to bless our community and world, even as it blesses us who give. For all of these, we need the wonderful ongoing support which our congregation has provided for decades. Therefore, our three-year committment to the Capital Fund should be in addition to our regular contributions to our churches ministries. Give as you are able, as stewards of God. There are many creative ways to give, such as donation of real estate, uncashed appreciated securities and tax-deferred accounts, collections (coins, stamps, etc.), vintage cars for auction, and payments for personal services and other kinds of fund raisers.

Thanks for your considerations of First Presbyterian Church's needs based on faith, preservation, and committment. May the peace of God - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - be with you always.

Final plans will be developed following the fund appeal. Once we understand the level of committment in the congregation and the community, we will better be able to enter into construction and loan contracts that are prudent for us. If the total raised falls short, funds could be borrowed from Presbyterian Church U.S.A., with the expectation of servicing the debt and interest with a second capital appeal. In the long run, it will be superior financially if everyone gives more now rather than to increase the final cost with a loan or delay part of the full renovation.
